Sherida Charles is an artist and art teacher who has lived in New Westminster for most of the past 45 years. Born in Jamaica, Sherida has a love of colour and bold imagery stemming from her childhood there. Her work references anything in her line of sight, with attention to colour, tone, form and spatial relationships. Her background in Art History and education also inform her work, as does her interest in experimentation with a variety of media. Drawings, painting and prints will be the mainstay of the work shown at the Culture Crawl, with work done over a wide time frame.
