Alice Clair is a multidisciplinary artist based in New Westminster, BC, Canada. Her work explores the themes of nature, nostalgia, and motherhood. Using a range of mediums, including gouache, oil paint, dried flowers, and paper, she aims to transport her audience to a place of playfulness, wonder, and curiosity.
As a mother, Alice understands the importance of nostalgia and uses her own childhood memories to explore the relationship between humans and the natural world. Her hope is to spark childhood memories in her viewers.
Alice loves experimenting with new materials and techniques to tell stories about the beauty of the world around us. Her recent focus on dried flowers allows her to explore new mediums and dimensions to create installations reflecting a wide range of emotions.
With her work exhibited throughout the Vancouver area, Alice has earned a reputation as an emerging artist with a unique perspective. As a multidisciplinary artist, Alice’s work is constantly evolving, always striving to explore new mediums and techniques to create art that speaks to the beauty of the world and the human condition.
Alice is a graduate of the IDEA Program at Capilano University and the Fine Arts program at Langara College.
