Janet Kvammen is an award-winning mixed media and lens-based artist, poet and community arts volunteer.  Through her art in both visual and literary mediums Janet explores the many layers, nuances, and textures of life, building a world beyond the mundane every day. 

Seeking out the spaces between time and place where imagination resides— New Westminster fuels her creative soul and provides endless inspiration—”from the river, the crows and the Pattullo Bridge”—she believes when the muse speaks one must listen.

 Janet is Vice-President of the local non-profit society New West Artists and President of the Royal City Literary Arts Society.

She is the recipient of the 2023 Bernie Legge Artist of the Year awarded by the New West Chamber of Commerce.
