Priscila Salazar was born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, on December 25, 1994. She earned a bachelor’s degree in plastic arts, specializing in sculpture, from the Autonomous University of Sinaloa (2013-2017).
Salazar was awarded the Scholarship of Excellence by the Autonomous University of Sinaloa in 2014 and won second place in the university’s Annual Portrait Contest in 2015. She has exhibited in numerous collective shows, including “Guides and Roots” at the José Luis Cuevas Gallery (2014, 2016), “Test of Author” at the University Cultural Center of Mazatlán (2015), “The Hall of Life and Death” at the Art Museum of Sinaloa (2015), “Experiences of Laboratory” at the Young Art Room (2016), and “Corpus Libris” organized by the Sinaloa Institute of Culture at the Young Art Room (2016).
Salazar has participated in several workshops, such as “Drawing with the Double Brain” by artist Jerome Uribe Clarín (2015), “Visual Experimentation in Sculpture” by artist Ignacio Granados Valdéz (2015), “Actions that Transform Realities: Memory and Identity through Art” by artist Idaid Rodríguez (2016), and “Atelier of Contemporary Art” by artist Sebastián Romo (2016).
Her work explores the delicate harmony and fragile sensuality of the feminine figure and celestial bodies. Salazar also creates portraits and is developing her skills in digital drawing.
