Sophia Bartholomew

sophia bartholomew (they/them) is a trans non-binary femme, working with text and textiles, photography and performance, ceramics and video. Since graduating with a BFA in 2012 from UBC’s Department of Art History, Visual Art and Theory, they have exhibited their work and attended artist-residencies across Canada and in Cuba. Drawing has long-been the foundation of their interdisciplinary art practice, and in 2018 they published “Screen Ecologies” a book of ink drawings co-created with Emma Hicks and Erica Wilk.
